Nurse, with a Master’s Degree in Epidemiology from the University of Havana (Cuba). She has been working at the Technical Office of the Primary Care Management of Mallorca since 1992.
She served as a full and associate professor in the Department of Nursing at the University of the Balearic Islands (1990–1999). She has been part of the Research Unit of the Primary Care Management of Mallorca since 1992. Member of the Research Committee until 2010. Member of the Investén group, the Coordination and Development Unit for Nursing Research of the Carlos III Health Institute, since 1998. Member of the Health Research Institute of the Balearic Islands Foundation (IdISBa). Since 2009, she has been a member of the Technical Committee of Trainers and Advisors in Health Promotion and Health Education of the Primary Care Management of Mallorca. Member of the Balearic Association of Community Nursing, affiliated with FAECAP (Federation of Associations of Community and Primary Care Nursing). Health technician at the Multiprofessional Teaching Unit for Family and Community Care of the Primary Care Management until 2018. Member of the Health Committee of the Association of Friends of the Sahrawi People of the Balearic Islands.
She participates in several research projects, among which the Research Network on Preventive Activities and Health Promotion in Primary Care (redIAPP) stands out. She is a member of the Primary Care RICORS network.
